 As the ENDSARS protest continues across the cities of Nigeria, youths in Ijebu Ode,Ogun state on Friday took to the streets of the town to show their dissatisfaction of the activities of the squad. The protest was a peaceful one without any damage to properties or attack on any person. The police are also not interfering with the peaceful protest. The protesters took the Lagos-Benin express road down to Ejirin road with placards. It will be recalled that the Inspector General of Police have in his broadcast announced the scrapping of the squad and replacing it with another unit known as SWAT.  Nigerians are saying no to the newly formed police unit to replace the disbanded SARS squad. After the scrapping of the distrustful SARS men,the Inspector General of Police,Mohammed Adamu inaugurated another agency,SWAT as replacement. But Nigerians are saying no to his move.  It have been reported that there have been a tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge,Berger,Lagos state. According to reports,the incident happened when the tanker with registration number,KJA900XR got tyre burst while on motion. The tanker which was reported to be carrying about 33,000 litres of petrol rammed into another truck carrying other goods and burst into flames. Confirming the incident,the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency(LASEMA) Public Affairs Officer,Mr. Nusa Okunbor,said  the incident happened at around 2.00am . Meanwhile, LASEMA,and the Lagos State Fire Service and responders have put off the fire and the area have been cordoned off to prevent any further disaster. No casualties have been reported at the time of this report.

 In a move to meet some of the demands of 'EndSARS'and police brutality protesters in Lagos state,Gov.Sanwo-Olu have taken a step. According to reports monitored in Lagos on Thursday,the governor made the move after meeting of the National Economic Council(NEC),presided over by the Vice-president,Prof.Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday in the country's capital,Abuja. Gov.Sanwo-Olu also revealed the identity of the four police officers who shot at protesters in Lagos on Monday. The governor gave their names as,Insp.Bagou Michael,Insp.Ekpoudom Elap,Sgt.Nnamdi Majura,and Sgt.Akinyemi Benson. The governor made it known that the erring officers have been arrested and are currently facing an orderly room trial that is being monitored by the government. Governor Sanwo-Olu also said his government have set aside the sum of N200 million Trust Fund for the compensation of victims and families of those who died in the course of SARS activities in the state. Group of lawyers in Lagos state joined the EndSARS protest on Monday. The Lagos state Police Commissioner,Hakeem Odumosu debunked the story that some protesters were shot dead on Monday by the police.This he stated while addressing group of protesting lawyers who matched to the police headquarters bearing various placards on Tuesday to show their dissatisfaction. When the lawyers countered his claim,citing the incident of Surulere where a police officer was mistakenly hit by bullets fired by his colleagues,and a civilian who was also shot dead. The police boss explained that the unfortunate incident happened when some hoodlums tried to free some kidnap suspects,and in the process of the gun battle,the two men were hit. He further stated that the two men were not even part of the protesters. He said the civilian was a driver who came out of his vehicle to see why there was a holdup on the road,but was unfortunately hit by stray bullets.

 In Egypt it's a sacrilege and taboo for a Muslim to convert to Christianity. The action is seen as a betrayal of your family and heritage. In most cases,such one is either locked up or killed to keep the family honor. So when Mostafa was told about his cousin Mohammed who lived in the capital,Cairo converting to Christianity he was surprised. In his public speech,President Donald Trump had called the coronavirus pandemic a 'lovefest' and said that he was newly 'immune' and stressing that he wish to kiss all his supporters at the forthcoming Florida campaign rally. His words,'One thing with me,the nice part:'I went through it,now they say I'm immune',Trump said Monday night at the Orlando Sanford International Airport.  The lovers had met in 2018 but the relationship came into limelight in September 2019.  A 14-year old boy who was kidnapped by suspected ritualists was found abandoned by his abductors. The boy who was kidnapped by yet to be identified men in October 9 around Area 52 in HO was abandoned in a bush by the kidnappers after he was rejected. Speaking from the hospital bed,the boy narrated how he overheard  a voice rejecting him because of his gender. Speaking to Ghana News Agency(GNA),the boy(name withheld)said he heard the voice saying it was a girl that was preferred. On how he was kidnapped,the boy stated that he was abducted outside their gated house when he came out to urinate. He told the news agency that the kidnappers blindfolded him and put him in a sack with his hands tied. Meanwhile,the police said the case is under investigation and promised to arrest the culprits who are still at large soon.

 The public outcry and protest against police brutality and operations of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad continued on Monday with Nigerians making more demands. However,on Monday the Inspector-General of police,Mohammed Adamu announced the dissolution the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS). Meanwhile,the vice-president of the country,Prof.Yemi Osinbajo in his reaction said that the disbandment is a step to the reform in the police. The Nigerians among other things demands the release of arrested protesters,justice for deceased victims of police brutality and appropriate compensation for their families,setting up an independent body to oversee the investigation and prosecution of all reports of police misconduct. Reacting,President Muhammadu Buhari promised to ensure that all those who are responsible for misconduct or wrongful acts are brought to justice.

 Starboy and some Nigerians in London staged protest against police brutality. Nigerian sensational music star,Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun,better known as Wizkid,and several Nigerians took the anti-SARS protest to the Nigerian High Commission in London. The protest took place on Sunday. It will be recalled that similar protest took place in several cities in Nigeria on Saturday with large numbers of celebrities,youths,and civil rights organizations coming out to show their dissatisfaction of police brutality which have become a normal practice in the country. While addressing the protesters,Wizkid urged Nigerian youths to speak up against every forms of ills in the country without fear. He told them that Nigerians deserved good government and the youths should stand up and take action by speaking out.

 Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of All Progressive Congress (APC) thanked the people of Ondo state and party faithfuls for his re-election as governor of the state. In his victory speech,governor Akeredolu promised to work in the overall interest of of the people. This he said while addressing the media and supporters at his residence in Owo on Sunday. He also thanked the people and his party,A PC,for the support they gave him and promised to provide purposeful governance for the next four years. However,governor Akeredolu got 292,830 votes to emerge the winner in the election. While his closest rival,Mr Jegede of the People's Democratic Party(PDP),scored 195,791 votes. Mr.Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party(ZLP) got 69,127 votes to come third.

In Christianity,especially in the Pentecostal assembly,for a Christian to marry more than a wife is regarded as a sin.  A pastor known as Sekati Kemmonye is a man of God who believes that a man cannot live by one woman alone. The man of God proudly show off his adorable two wives on social media recently. In his words,Sekati stated that those who oppose polygamy are just pretenders,and further said that even religion allows such practice.

 The Ondo governorship election have come and gone and the people of Ondo state and the country in general are waiting anxiously for the results to come out. However,the results released so far by INEC indicates that the A PC and incumbent governor,Rotimi Akeredolu is on early lead ahead of his other challengers in 12 local government areas of the state.  The local governments are:Ile Oluji/Okeigbo,Akoko North-West,Irele,Akoko South-West,Akoko South-East,Akure North,Akure South,Ese Odo Idanre,Odigbo,Okitipupa,Ondo East,Ondo West,Ode Owo. However,political analysis believe it is either the continuity of the incumbent governor,Rotimi Akeredolu,or the election of the PDP candidate,Eyitayo Jegede,or Agboola Ajayi of the ZLP.
