#ENDSARS PROTEST IN PICTURES

 For a couple of weeks now Nigerians have been on the streets to protest the ceaseless police brutality in the country. Nigerians,mostly the youths were protesting to demand the scrapping of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad,the Unit which they accused to have gone beyond their primary assignments of combating crime to extortion and killing of innocent citizens. But as the protest goes on,many ugly incidents have set in. WRESTLER DIES AFTER COLLAPSE IN THE RING

 Mexican wrestler,Luis Angel Salazar,26, has died after collapsing in the ring at the San Juan Pantitlan Arena on the outskirts of Mexico city. The young wrestler died after collapsing in the ring suffering from brain rupture. Salazar,nicknamed,"Principe Aereo",which means ,"Aerial Prince"in English went down after receiving two slaps to the chest from his opponent,Redimido,who ran towards him to deliver another one. But Redimido and the ref realized Salazar was not acting on the canvas,but was desperately waving for  the medics attention. He was rushed to the nearby by hospital opposite the arena where he later died on Saturday night.

NIGERIAN-BORN CANADIAN MINISTER SUPPORTS #ENDSARS PROTEST

 Nigerian-born Kaycee Madu who was recently appointed as Minister of Justice and Solicitor-General of Alberta in Canada has also supported the EndSARS protest in Nigeria. According to him,he said his own cousin,Chrisantus Nwabueze Korie was killed by Nigerian police in April 2013. He stated that every efforts made to make to make the police investigate the killing and give justice to the family proved abortive as the police did everything to obstruct the process. From his own point of view,he said changing the name of SARS and reconstituting it without significant reform won't be enough to satisfy the cry of Nigerians.

ENDSARS PROTEST:IJEBU ODE YOUTHS ON THE STREETS

 As the ENDSARS protest continues across the cities of Nigeria, youths in Ijebu Ode,Ogun state on Friday took to the streets of the town to show their dissatisfaction of the activities of the squad. The protest was a peaceful one without any damage to properties or attack on any person. The police are also not interfering with the peaceful protest. The protesters took the Lagos-Benin express road down to Ejirin road with placards. It will be recalled that the Inspector General of Police have in his broadcast announced the scrapping of the squad and replacing it with another unit known as SWAT.
